 CHILDHOOD IMMUNISATION

  

 The doctors and staff aim to maintain the well being of children up to the age of five years. A planned programme of health , developmental checks and immunisation is provided on a ‘call and recall’ system.

 

8 Weeks   (2 injections)

Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio, and Haemophilus Influenzae B vaccine (DTP/Polio/Hib)

Pneumococcal vaccine (PCV)

 

3 months (2 injections)

DTP/Polio/Hib (2nd dose)

Meningococcus Group C vaccine (MenC)

 

4 months (3 injections)

DTP/Polio/Hib (3rd dose)

MenC (2nd dose)

Pneumococcal (PCV) (2nd dose)

 

12 months (1 injection)

Hib/MenC

 

15 months (2 injections)

Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)

PCV (3rd dose)

 

4 years Pre-school booster (2 injections)

DTP/Polio

MMR (second dose)

 

13 years (girls)

1st Human papillomavirus (HPV)

2nd injection 1 month later

3rd injection 6 months after 1st

 

15 years old

Tetanus, low dose Diphtheria, and Polio
